It's great to just be outdoors! You, nature and the animals, a soothing existence. Come as you are. If you have your own hiking boots bring them along, otherwise we will make sure you have what you need before leaving. We will bring one of our calmest horses as a packhorse.

When we are hungry, we will stop and eat a meal in the open air. On a cool day, we might light a fire. On a hot the day we will hike down to a river where we can rinse our faces and maybe take a dip.

Location: Silverhill (Silverberg) is situated in north-eastern Dalarna in Rättvik, about 20 km north of Rättvik and about 25 km south of Furudal. 300 km north of Stockholm.

Time: Full day, 24 hours, we suggest "from lunch to lunch."

Participants: 1-4 people are a good sized-group. The hike is suitable for children.

Price: 5 800 SEK for 1-2 persons. Participants number 3 and 4 pay an additional 1000 SEK /person. The price includes "everything": Guided tours, luggage transport, lodging, meals prepared outdoors (snack, dinner, breakfast and lunch), some beverages, and a map.

Guest preparation: Bring clothes suited to the weather such as sunscreen on hot days and raincoat / poncho and boots or rubber boots in case of rain.

If you do not have time to plan nor pack, we can arrange, in addition to food and sleeping equipment a toothbrush, change of clothes and rain gear.

Motor home parking: You can park the camper close to or at the farm, we will let you know.

You can also park overnight at Rättviks gården, a small B&B and campsite in the centre of Rättvik. Rättvik is a great summer town with nice dining and entertainment opportunities.

More about your guides:

Bertil is a trained and experienced guide with many years of practise in trail riding and hiking in Dalarna and in the Swedish mountains. Bertil guides in English or Swedish. Gunilla is from nearby Furudal with guiding experience from Sweden and Spain. She guides in Swedish, Spanish and English.

You are very close to Dalhalla - an old limestone quarry turned into an internationally renowned music scene featuring attractive artistic performances in summer.

Lake Siljan and the Siljan ring are part of a circular water system consisting of Lake Siljan (Sweden's seventh largest lake), Lake Orsa, river Ore, Skattungen and the Lake Ore. The circular shape was created 377 million years ago when a meteorite hit the Earth.
